Woodson YMCA | Wausau, WI
The Woodson YMCA expansion and modernization project equips the Woodson YMCA for what’s now and what’s next in health and wellness, creating a platform for innovation and growth for years to come. The goal of the 37,000 sq ft. expansion and 140,000 sq ft. renovation was to enhance vital programming, modernize the facility, add cohesiveness to the building and serve as a vibrant downtown redevelopment. A close working relationship with the client and a high level of planning were crucial throughout this project as the facility remained open to YMCA members throughout construction. The YMCA also received a fresh new look inside and out.
Here is an overview of the many program areas included in this project:
The Landing, a best-in-class 15,000 sq.ft. activity center for 55+ adults.
