WAUSAU, WI – May 3, 2017 – Ghidorzi Green & Clean 2017 removed a record 4.36 tons of litter from the greater Wausau landscape on Earth Day, topping last year’s high of 3.72 tons. This brings our grand total of trash removal to 21.62 tons since the event began in 2010! Special thanks to Advanced Disposal for donating the dumpsters and trash removal services in support of a clean community.

Thank you to each of the 1,000 volunteers who pitched in on April 22 and all 35 Event Partners, the businesses and organizations who rally around the Ghidorzi Green & Clean by forming a team and recruiting volunteers. Ghidorzi Companies would also like to thank REI Engineering for the logistical support they have provided since the event’s inception as well as the gloves, River Valley Bank for the brat fry after party and WFIC radio personalities Dave Kallaway and Susan Kennedy for their live radio broadcast.
