Development of a 32,000 square foot medical office building is underway at 2606 Stewart Avenue, a design build leaseback by Ghidorzi Design | Build | Develop. The development includes trusted medical and dental providers with new and advanced services for the greater Wausau market. The facility is designed to deliver an elevated patient experience with intuitive building flow in a well-appointed clinic environment.
Surgical Associates is bringing two new divisions to market in this facility, including a new plastic surgery practice and state-of-the-art Elevé Medspa. In addition, local dentists Drs. Vincent Bearjar and Deborah Jerrells are partnering to open Inspired Dental Health Clinic where they will offer a range of general dentistry, including preventative, restorative, prosthetic, endodontics, cosmetic, oral surgery and pediatric services.
The new plastic surgery practice will be home to Dr. Alexey Markelov, a board-certified aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgeon who will be joining the Surgical Associates team this January. Dr. Markelov is an expert in all aspects of facial surgery, breast surgery and body sculpting. Elevé Medspa will provide the same leading non-surgical aesthetic treatments that are currently being administered at 2400 Pine Ridge Boulevard by Julie Kubat, Licensed Aesthetician, and other trained medical professionals.
This development continues the momentum and striking aesthetic influence of the ENT & Allergy Associates clinic that Ghidorzi developed, designed and constructed across the street on 28th Avenue. The 2606 Stewart Avenue facility achieves a captivating building design with locally sourced cut stone and sintered stone panels. The building is optimized with the latest technology for sustainability and efficiency, including the HVAC system, lighting and air tight building envelope for maximum temperature and moisture control. Natural light is brought into the building from all sides to enhance patient and employee wellbeing and to minimize energy use during daylight hours. Bright sunlight and solar gain will be controlled with electrochromatic glass windows, also known as “smart glass,” that filter unwanted light and heat transfer into the building.
The premiere location, adjacent to the Wausau medical campus with direct access from US-51/I-39 and State Highway 52, is a benefit that patients will appreciate whether traveling locally or from surrounding areas. The building is designed with a canopy entry for covered drop-off and convenient parking directly outside the building.
The facility is expected to open in the spring of 2020.
