The Ghidorzi Hotel Group is pleased to announce David Sapp as Food & Beverage Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Wausau, overseeing all operations of the restaurant, bar and conference center banquets. David brings years of experience and a true passion for food, wine and service as a career-long industry professional. He holds a unique vantage point as a trained executive chef on the important connection between kitchen and front of house in achieving a truly extraordinary guest experience.
David has served in diverse culinary and restaurant management roles throughout the Milwaukee area, including Corporate Chef for ZRG Restaurant Group and Executive Chef for Five O’Clock Steakhouse, Drink Wisconsibly and Maggiano’s where kitchen demands were split between the restaurant dining room and banquet space. He also deepened his operational expertise as co-owner of a cleaning and detailing business specific to restaurants and bars. David began his career as Sous Chef at Isabella’s Estiatorio in Chicago under the leadership of James Beard Award winning chef Sean Eastwood.
David holds an Associate Degree of Culinary Arts from College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. A native to Chicago, he and his wife are excited to raise their family in the Wausau community. Outside of work David enjoys fishing, grilling, sharing a bottle of wine with his wife and chasing after their two little ones.
