WAUSAU, WI – November 5, 2015 – Ghidorzi today announced that plans are underway to develop a 100-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel at 2101 North Mountain Road in Wausau, Wisconsin. The immediate priority is to work through the approval process for the hotel with the Town of Rib Mountain with an anticipated construction start in 2016 and hotel opening in 2017.
The new Hilton Garden Inn hotel will meet demand in the greater Wausau marketplace for upscale yet affordable lodging. The Hilton Garden Inn rewards guests with great quality at an even greater value with impeccable service, inviting social spaces and high-end amenities. The brand brings the atmosphere of a luxury stay into the culture of a focused service hotel. Emphasis is placed on providing a good night’s sleep, cooked-to-order breakfast, dinner room service, state-of-the-art fitness and business centers, and a full restaurant and bar.

The Hilton Garden Inn will be the fourth lodging property of the Ghidorzi Hotel Group, which includes the Courtyard by Marriott of Wausau, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott of Wausau and The Apartments at Corporate Cove.
The Howard Johnson Inn & Conference Center that currently stands on the development site will close on November 30.
