Continuing Wausau’s Entrepreneurial Spirit

Thank you, Jake Miller, for the feature in today’s Daily Herald about the birth of the worker’s compensation industry right here in Wausau.  This untold story is a classic example of one of greater Wausau’s finest attributes:  its entrepreneurial spirit.

Wausau has a history of reinventing itself to stay economically diverse and relevant in the business world.  As the economy continues to challenge various industries in our community, we all need to channel our inner entrepreneur and strive to bring new industries and greater innovation to the area.  Doing so will preserve the heritage of entrepreneurialism that started with the lumber barons and, even more importantly, ensure the continued vitality of the region.
